Materials may not be collected if these requirements are not followed for garbage and recycling pickup.

1. Commercial waste is not acceptable for curbside pickup.
2. Carts must be placed in the parkway or at the end of the driveway near the street no earlier than 2 p.m. on the day prior to scheduled pickup and no later than 6 a.m. on the day of pickup.
3. Emptied carts must be removed from the curb no later than 9 a.m. on the day following pickup.
4. Carts must be stored in a location that is not visible from the street.
5. Carts must be placed at least 4 feet from any objects that would get in the way of curbside pickup and at least 10 feet away from vehicles parked in the street.
6. Carts must be placed with the arrows on the cart lid pointing toward the street with the lid closed. Carts will not be collected if they are overloaded with an open lid.
7. Garbage placed in a recycling cart with a blue lid will not be collected.
8. Do not store carts near heat sources.
9. Do not place leaves, garden trimmings, brush, hot ashes, solvents, paint, dead animals, chemicals, oils, liquids, medical waste, or household hazardous waste in a cart.
10. Needles must be placed in a sealed coffee can or laundry detergent container with the ends broken off from the dispenser units. The sealed container should be labeled "SHARPS" and placed inside a garbage cart for pickup.

2. Materials must be in separate piles, at least 4 feet from any objects that would get in the way of curbside pickup, and at least 10 feet away from vehicles parked in the street.
3. Materials must be placed in the parkway or at the end of the driveway near the street no earlier than 2 p.m. on the day prior to scheduled pickup and no later than 6 a.m. on the day of pickup.
4. During biweekly leaf pickup, leaves may be placed in biodegradable bags, in piles that are less than 3 feet tall, or in containers that are less than 33 gallons and less than 35 pounds
5. Brush and garden trimmings must be placed in a garbage can or cut in lengths not to exceed six feet and stacked neatly
